Michael Balanoff | Member-At-Large

Michael Balanoff served as Co-Vice President for Campaign 2005 and is the most immediate past president of the Syracuse Jewish Federation.

In 2005, Michael received the Roth Award, the Federation’s highest award, for Outstanding Jewish Communal Leadership.

Michael has served as Vice President of Community Relations and is an active member of the Executive Committee.

He is a Past President of Temple Beth El and of the JCC. He led missions to Israel in 1974 and 2003 and has served on the YMCA’s Outreach Board of Managers.

Michael is a partner in the Law Firm of Green and Seifter in Syracuse. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star.

He is a founder and Past President of the CNY Bankruptcy Bar Association and practices before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of New York.
